Why tether a young horse
To a blossoming cherry tree
If he prances
The flowers will fall.

Welcome to my website!
My name is Alyssa, I'm a completely horse mad English teacher in Japan. I live in Aomori, Japan, which is the northernmost prefecture on Honshu island. When I'm not teaching elementary and junior high school students the confusion that is the English language, lately I've been riding around shooting things. :) This website is about my experiences riding in Japan and around the world. One of my goals of being in Japan this time is to study the historical and current uses of horses in Japan; so this website also contains some of my thoughts and research on that as well. It is currently under construction, so please be patient!
